Sarah Winderlin is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Art and Tufts University. She makes her home in Ipswich. After a long history of mixed media and landscape work, Sarah became fascinated with the depth of personality she could see in her dogs, then her chickens...thus the beginning of her obsession with animal portraiture.
An enthusiastic animal lover, Sarah enjoys seeing the individuality in all creatures, except (of course) snakes. Her latest series was inspired by the most recent crop of ‘kids’ at Dancing Goats Dairy in Newburyport, MA. Though tiny and still nursing (about 8 lbs when photographed) they were vibrant and full of rambunctious personality. Resisting the urge to bring a couple home with her, Sarah had to remain content creating virtual kids.
