Sarah Winderlin is a graduate of the School of the Museum of Fine Art and Tufts University. She is currently based in Ipswich. In a departure from her customary mixed media and landscape work, Sarah has become fascinated with the detail and depth of personality she can capture in her intimate series of chick portraiture.
Though always an animal lover, raising her flock from three day old chicks (in her living room) has given her the pleasure of witnessing first hand the development and characteristics of their unique personalities. At even less than a week’s age Sarah has been able to observe the bashfulness, stubbornness, curiosity, playfulness and in some cases blatant attitude that carries through into their adult selves.
