Kathleen Robbins

This series represents a quest to discover the connection between a natural form, (a bird’s nest) and its inherent qualities as a dwelling and an organic vessel.

Through the process of interpretation the tension between seeing it in its purest form and letting it dissolve into pure abstraction of color and mark making are at the center of this exploration.

Kathleen Robbins has a master’s degree from Massachusetts College of Art where she taught as an adjunct faculty member for five years.  She currently has a studio in Portsmouth, NH where she works and teaches workshops.
