Native to Maine, Cindy Rizza is a classically trained, representational oil painter with her BFA from the New Hampshire Institute of Art. Her nostalgic, iconic representations of ordinary subjects summon conflicting feelings of comfort and loneliness, hope and foreboding, and of life and loss. She has won numerous awards, including the NH Spotlight Award for Outstanding Representational Artist, the Vermont Studio Center Artist Grant, and a Maine Percent for the Arts commission. Her work is collected internationally. Cindy lives and works in Southern New Hampshire.
