Amy Gross was born in New York, and received her BFA from the Cooper Union in NYC. After attending the Skowhegan School, she established Amy Designs, Inc., a company specializing in surface and children’s product design. After many years in front of a computer screen, she longed to make things with her hands again. She thinks of her work as nature sieved through her experiences and imagination. She lives and works in South Florida, a place where the natural and the artificial compete and combine.
