I live in Portsmouth, NH where I ride my bike, talk to my cat, and learn things from books when I am not making toy animals and such. When I’m making these assemblages I’m really playing and figuring out how to combine things I love best – repeated patterns, images of animals, color and texture. I use linoleum to carve stamps, a printgocco for tiny screenprints, encaustic paint, and any appealing materials I can get my hands on, such as wood found on the beach, scraps of fabric found at the flea market, and the occasional nail pulled from a telephone pole. I enjoy making use of the stuff us humans leave lying around to make something that emerges with some identity of its own.
